November 23-25, 2017, Novotel Manila – The mood was upbeat as hundreds of travel professionals from all over the world gathered together during the 4th Worldmaster International Travel Mart (WITM). “This year’s WITM has recorded the highest number of buyers and sellers, with about 80 companies selling high-value products and services, and a total of 674 buyers,” confirms WITM owner and operations manager Dr. Leilani Agana.
This year, the Global WebForce team had the opportunity to take part in this successful business-to-business (B2B) event. “It was a fun and productive day for participants because everyone was given a fair opportunity to mingle and talk with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, hoteliers and digital agencies like ours. It opened up vast opportunities for businesses and was a good way to extend their connections,” says Global WebForce director Angela Sunga. “We are glad to be part of it.”

ABOUT DR LEILANI AGANA
Dr. Leilani Agana, RN,RPh, MAN,Ed.D has several outstanding accomplishments under her belt. She is a successful businesswoman, operating Medimore Pharmacy since 1996, Agana Realty and Development, Pharma Gems Transport since 2000, Artista Salon since 2007 and CLF New Life Christian School since 2010.
As an owner and operations manager of the Worldmaster International Travel Mart, she manages inbound and outbound with branches in Aklan, London and the UK. In 2016, she founded WITM B2B Philippines. Dr. Agana has been in the travel industry for 7 years, and she confessed that her love for travelling paved the way for her to enter this industry. “My ultimate dream is to visit and discover all the beautiful places and countries all over the world,” she said.
When asked about what she treasures the most about being the owner of WITM, she enthusiastically talked about treasuring the relationships and memories she built with her travel partners and colleagues. “The joy and the happiness I bring with our buyers as they meet new tour providers with the best and competitive products and services. And so with our sellers,” she added.
Like any other business though, putting up a travel Agency is not all sunshine and rainbows. She acknowledged that starting WITM is not that easy. The first event struggled to gather and bring travel professionals. “It’s acceptable because you’re starting to build the trust and confidence of the industry,” Dr. Agana advised.
As the years gone by, WITM has become one of the most sought-after B2B travel events in the country. It has grown bigger and stronger, and has built an authoritative name amongst travel agencies and professionals.
Dr. Agana’s advice to fellow travel and tours business owners is quite simple, but remarkable: “To give the service that the clients need as how you serve God. It must be with great responsibility, love and honesty.”
